Welcome to the 2026 edition of our newsletter.
The newsletter format has changed as we introduce more
articles, profiles and wider information on the practice into
a magazine style. We would appreciate your comments and
thoughts on any of the articles.
At our core, we remain the same quality-driven practice of
Architects, Building Surveyors and Interior Designers
serving a wide spectrum of clients, contractors and
consultants across a wide range of sectors and project
types.
We are looking to expand the business with a strategic
growth plan over the next 5 years, building on the last ten
years of consistent high performance. The practice is now
approaching 50 years old and has evolved constantly over
that time. Architecture, construction, legislation, and
environmental considerations are always changing. At
Howarth Litchfield, we continue to maintain our knowledge
so that we can advise clients on the latest rules and
regulations.
What doesn’t change is our attitude to service and delivery
of projects. We are successful because what we offer is a
complete service from inception through to site delivery.
As testimony, this issue includes some of our recently
completed projects. These include Townhouse Youth
Centre, a vibrant space designed for the youth of
Colchester, the Redcar Railway Station, which has been
revitalised to enhance connectivity for the Redcar and
Cleveland community and visitors. Additionally, we have
completed the beautifully designed Fellows Garden along
with the refurbishment of the historic Cosin’s
Almshouses and Pemberton Building at Durham
University. Another highlight is the Billingham Forum
Gym, which offers state-of-the-art fitness facilities for
the residents of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
We also include updates on various ongoing projects for
both our public and private clients. These initiatives
encompass a wide range of areas, including new
construction and renovations for museum facilities,
medical practices, industrial sites, residential
developments, and educational institutions. Each of
these projects is thriving and reflects our ongoing
commitment to excellence in design and construction.
We hope you enjoy the newsletter. If you need any
advice, please do not hesitate to contact one of the
Directors to discuss. Feel free to arrange a visit to the
studios.
